I'm on my first bus trip and the bus I'm on sucks. There is no phone charges some of the seats the backs won't adjust, others the padding is worn out from people sitting on them. 2 of the tv's don't work and the bus is just worn out. How ever Joann our bus driver. was great.
I recently took Susquehanna trailways from Port Auth. NYC. Before even getting on the bus, a young gentleman showed his paper ticket to the driver. He immediately started yelling at the man telling him he had the wrong bus. And why didn't he read his ticket? His bus was right next to it. The man was just asking for help. I then boarded the bus and a women came with a ticket on her smart phone. She said she purchased it in a taxi on the way. The driver told her she had to go upstairs to print it. It was 3:58 -bus was leaving at 4PM. She said there was no time, he agreed and told her to buy a new ticket. $68.00. She handed him a chug card which he said he could not except. He began walking into bus. She followed behind him and he CLOSEDOWN the door on her. She began shouting to open the door as her belongings were inside with her hands. He waited a moment then quickly opened and closed door. She tapped on door saying she just wanted to ask him a question. His reply shouting NO NO NO. We took off and he started shouting how he was sick of these internet tickets. I myself had one as did others on the bus. When we got to Easton he went into depot and upon returning to bus saw a women going to the bathroom on the bus. He shouted mam mam I need to use that before you. The women sat down and HE entered the bathroom. He had just left depot so if it was that necessary he could have gone in the depot. Then we thought he had to move the bus to be on time. He took something out of his personnel belongings and began to eat for the next 6 minutes. Obviously neither thought above was on his mine. This driver is a stout little bully, just mean. He spoke to dispatcher Chris on phone about working the following Sat. On a trip to Hershey park. His first question was whose workink? Probably somebody I don't like. This guy should not be allowed to work with the public. He behaved like an animal. He was rude to many and how dare he stop a paying customer from using the bathroom before him. I will not use this bus line again. Nor will the groups I'm associated with. This person needs to be fired or is that what unions do? Protect their members to the point of abuse towards others. I know his job is not an easy one. Join the rest of us that work with the public. Act like an adult and be polite. Do your job and show respect for others. If you cannot then maybe it's time for you to retire. You are the meanest unprofessional individual I've ever seen.
As an advisor of the NJHS, my co-advisor and I have used Susquehanna Trailways for the past 11 years for our annual trip to Washington D.C. They are the easiest company to work with when planning such a one day trip. The drivers are courteous and the scheduler was polite and helpful. Thank you Susquehanna Trailways for always being consistent and reliable.
Service is generally reliable and staff are informative, if not a little terse. Seems to be the only option to get out of Williamsport.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HIGH PRICES! Not every experience is bad, and some drivers are very friendly. However, I've received horrendous customer service from all levels of the company. They have rude people working at all levels of the company: phone operators, ticket salespeople, the drivers, and management. In a disagreement with a driver, he laughed in my face and the manager defended the employees rude behavior and threatened to not let me on my bus when I gave an attitude back. They are not very flexible and refuse to give refunds or transfer your ticket to another day. They also want you to take whichever bus route you're given, they get very annoyed and may simply refuse if you discover another way to get to your destination and request to be on a different bus. The bus will be sure to leave behind anyone who's not ready at the exact time, but arrivals are still late many days. The drivers that are actually friendly and polite, not giving refunds, and not much competition in the more rural parts of PA is probably the only reason this company is still in existence.
